Kristy and Dan have been good friends for a long time. But he is secretly in love with her and she enjoys the attention. Modern life is transient and changeable. People are constantly on the lookout for a better deal or new quick fix. Spoiled for choice there are no resolutions. To the backdrop of a busy city Platonic quietly captures the mood and palette of problems in a modern urban relationship and taps into five meetings where one question is asked – when does a friendship become a relationship? It’s all between the lines.

“In Platonic I set out to make a film with a minimal but precise expression, where the narrative and dramatic tension is developing in what’s happening between the lines. To develop a fluid delivery the scenes were improvised, I only scripted the subtext.”

In 2008 Platonic screened in The Short Film Market at world famous Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival in France.
