Biography |
Arvid has written and directed several short films which as been nominated and won awards around the world. He currently develops his first feature film: a dry comedy set in a world of small-town libraries and rundown hotels, where an oddball librarian fights for fame and prestige. His most recent film Eradescape is currently screening at festivals and is being distributed by Vitagraph, Italy.
Previous short films Airhead and Matinée were short listed for Bristol’s film festival “DepicT”. Let Go won first price at eMotion in South Korea. Swedish Film Institute funded a blow-up to 35mm of Let Go, which is currently touring the Swedish cinemas. Moreover, the broadcasting rights of Let Go have been sold to Canal Plus in France and Spain and to Channel 5 in Italy. The British Film Council sponsored him to go to the Berlinale Talent Campus with Woodcutter’s Joy in 2006.
After 12 years in London, Arvid is currently living between New Zealand and Sweden while directing commercials, promos, and on-air identity.
